His team built a complete software product that explored image generation using existing pretrained models, finetuned them on custom datasets, and went a step further to design and train their own GAN from scratch. He drove the architecture, wrote the bulk of the code, and kept the team aligned through regular discussions with me. For the Agile Project Management semester project, his group had to deliver a full software product along with end to end documentation, sprint artefacts, and a final presentation, and as the leader Sumedh chose to build CloudCannon, a cloud storage and file manipulation platform. The product was thoughtfully scoped, cleanly executed, and genuinely interesting to engage with, which is why I found myself asking them question after question, not as routine evaluation but out of real curiosity about the choices they had made. What stood out just as much as the product was the team itself. They were proactive, in sync, and clearly aware of each member's strengths, and Sumedh's leadership was a big reason that chemistry held together across the semester. "Sumedh led a team of five on a research paper studying the Los Angeles forest fires, where they used satellite imagery and GIS techniques to map affected regions, identify recurring spatial and temporal patterns, and propose innovative strategies to prevent outbreaks and minimise damage. What stood out was their willingness to suggest bold, out of the box ideas that most groups would hesitate to put on paper, and then back those ideas with solid data and analysis. The collective effort was tightly coordinated under his leadership, and the work earned a perfect 10 out of 10 with an O grade.
